We are often asked, "What are good qualities that every intern should have?"  Well, this is not the ultimate list, but it is a good start.  These are some of the qualities we look for in good interns:

-Learn quickly

-Have clear expectations for their internship, and can write it down for us

-Look things up, such as reviewing the text prior to a procedure

-Help with ANYTHING, there is NOTHING they will not do

-Clean up after themselves

-Respect the staff (Don't make extra work and help out when there is extra work)

-Have some humility

-Jump into the clinic / work and don't hold back to watch

-Stay longer than two weeks and no longer than a month

-Get full histories on drop-offs
